Ayahuasca pabra quechua

La palabra ayahuasca proviene del shipibo nishi rao que significa (soga de la medicina)

Pero también es una palabra quechua (idioma de los incas) que significa:

Aya = muerte,

Huasca = soga

Hugely positive and fascinating experience, would recommend for anyone looking for some answers.

Extremely impressed with the service and level of care and attention that I was given and felt it a safe and warm environment the whole time.

The ceremonies were beautiful and the shamans pat a tremendous amount of time and effect into them not only was the general experience very positive but the details were there too making it even better.

The setting for the retreat is beautiful, set or a will looking down on the Urubamba River really adds a spiritual feel to the place and would love to stay longer.

Thank you very much.

When I went to Etnika’s, I felt that there weren’t any specific issues that I needed to address.
Participating in the ayahuasca ceremony allowed me to recognize the fear and uncertainty within my self. Cleaning these negative energies has made me stronger and able to shift my consciousness towards the heart. Ayahuasca was a beneficial experience that has guided me in my path of development and has provided me with the sense of renewal and well-being.

Spiritual Valle de Lares a Machu Picchu - 4 days / 3 nights

This less-known hike departs from the Sacred Valley of the Incas to enter a route where amazing mountain scenery, glacier lagoons, valley cloud-forest and authentic textile Quechua communities are combined to finally reach the village of Lares, where you can end the trek by relaxing in its famous hot springs. From Lares we drive to Ollantaytambo and board the train to Aguas Calientes to visit Machupicchu on day 4 of the program. A unique hike to get in touch with Andean people and learn about their traditions and life-style. Social help is appreciated.

Day 1: Cusco to Cancha Cancha

We leave Cusco at 7.00am in a private transport and drive for 2h towards Huarán, the starting point of our trek. On this first day, we walk for approximately 5h following an uphill path that starts in a valley with lush vegetation and that will take us to our first campsite in Cancha Cancha, a small farming community in the middle of a spectacular mountain scenery. We will stop for lunch along the way. Once we get to Cancha Cancha, we set our camp and get to know the local people and their way of living.
Before we start the trek a Q’eros master (Highland priest) will offer the ceremony dedicated to Pachamama (Mother earth) and to the Apus (Mountains). This ancestral ceremony will give us permission and protection for our trek. The ceremony is commons in the Andes or highlands. A priest from the highland will lead and guide the ceremony
Meals: L, D

Day 2: Cancha Cancha to Queuñaqocha Lagoon

We leave our camp after breakfast to start walking along an ascending path that will lead us to the first mountain pass of the trek, the Abra Pachacutec (4400m/14432ft/3h), from which we can enjoy awesome views of glacier lagoons and the surrounding valleys.. Along the hike, we may also have spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains in the area, such as Colquecruz, Minas and Sirijuani. We will have lunch after the pass, to then descend to Quiswarani, a small peasant and textile community, from where we continue following an uphill path until we reach the beautiful lagoon of Queuñaqocha, where we set up our second camp.
Meals: B, L, D

Day 3: Queuñaqocha Lagoon to Lares and Aguas Calientes

Today we continue our hike towards the second mountain pass, the Abra Willkiccasa (4100m/13448ft/2h), offering impressive views of both sides of the pass, especially of the Colquecruz and Pitusiray mountains. The trail continues along changing puna, lakes and agricultural areas with roaming deer until we arrive in Cuncani 3h later, another small peasant community from where we follow our hike down a fertile valley with more vegetation, crops and agricultural communities. Along the trail we may see native flowers such as begonias and wild orchids. After an approximated 2h walk we arrive in Lares, capital of the district with the same name, a large village whose principal attraction are its pleasant hot springs, where we can enjoy a dip. After lunch, our private transport will drive us to Ollantaytambo, where we board an afternoon train that will take us to Aguas Calientes. AYAHUASCA TRAVEL PERU MISTIC

this ancestral medicine is only used by shamans to heal a variety of illnesses and to give initiations to people, to help them in their process of personal development and growth.

The name “Ayahuasca” comes from the Shipibo language “nishi rao” which means “Medicine Rope” and in Quechua, “Death´s Rope” (Aya = Death and Huasca = Rope). Scientifically, the Ayahuasca is known as banisteriopsis caapi and it is an ilarian plant which only grows in the Amazonian region (Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Colombia).

The Ayahuasca´s preparation is exclusively done by shamans and it is boiled for several hours, along with other plants like the Chakuruna, Toe, etc. And this process is accompanied by shamanic chants or “iqaros” (prayers or “mantras” typical of the Amazonian Shipibo culture), which altogether converts itself into a powerful medicine.

To take Ayahuasca is to enter the Primordial Source of Existence and the establishment of the real social order ruled by the Laws of Nature and the Universe.

Effects during the Ceremony to the Pachamama with Ayahuasca:

The taking of Ayahuasca consists of an exact dose for the ceremony during which there can be some stomach ill feeling accompanied by vomiting and in rare cases, diarrhea. These symptoms indicate that the spiritual and mental cleansing also are physical, like for example, in the case of people who consume alcohol in excess, smoke cigarettes and ingest other toxic substances. In conclusion, it will be a detoxification process.

Effects after the Ceremony to the Pachamama with Ayahuasca:

There are many beneficial effects, firstly you will spend 7 days in a natural trance, with this state of superior spiritual transcendence the brain produces different substances like adrenalin, etc. And you will have a clearer vision of life. There will also be effects in the course of the next two months and up to one year. Therefore, you will go through a positive inner transformation which will lead you to happiness and victory in life, without forgetting that the inner change takes place daily and is constant and that one must make efforts to achieve his or her transformation throughout his or her whole existence or as the druids say: The heart never stops to be born and born again.

1. Why ayahuasca is necessary for man and these times?
Man has turned away from his natural roots and arrived in a terrible materialistic confusion. He has broken the harmony with the intrinsic root of the universe (God).
This results, in physical, psychological and spiritual sickness, for example stress amongst other things, we have global sickness that we don´t realize exists. The ayahuasca helps us to see the most unconscious parts of the person and shows us the negative aspects and how to change them.

2. What type of problems can ayahuasca heal?
We know you can cure spiritual, psychological sickness and will show you how to cure your self physically.

3. Why do we have to fast and why does it have strict indications?

It is a very delicate plant that not only requires a spiritual and mental preparation but also physical. Because there can be a reactions with other chemicals in your body which can be dangerous.

4. What are the visions with ayahuasca?
The visions are a reading from your personal history, this comes from the unconscious and it is necessary to translate to the conscious mind to receive the message.

5. What type of visions can one obtain?
Like we have mentioned one can see the negativity inside as well as outside and to know how to transform this into positivity.

6. Why medicine and not a drug?
Drugs are only an escape from reality and a form of cowardice. It is a medicine to help you face life with love, optimism, life force and find solutions.

Andean Philosophy and Ayahuasca

1. What is Andean philosophy?
More than a philosophy, it is a religion; an esoteric Christian religion unique in the world which can only be compared with Tibetan Lamaism, since it is the only esoteric Buddhism.

2. What are the characteristics of this religion?
This religion´s ceremonies are directed towards Mother Earth or Pachamama and begin with a feminine Andean ceremony, to go on towards Universal Transcendence, meanwhile in the East which irradiates the planet´s masculine polarity, ceremonies are of a masculine type and start by the Universal Source, to get to Mother Earth or Pachamama.
But, it doesn´t matter so much whether these ceremonies might be of feminine or masculine energetic polarity, the objective is the same and it is to find the Supreme Reality which teaches us that the human being is bigger than the universe therefore, we can renew our vital strength, to reach Absolute Happiness.

3. Why do the ancestors say that we are bigger than the universe and why when we develop our values we can obtain this state of being?
As we are united with the intrinsic root that orders and protects the universe, the creational and evolutionary source. That’s why we are love and not lovers; we are the flower and not the fragrance.
When we generate positivity from our heart we generate deep change within our selves, our surroundings and the universe.
Confucius Said: You want to change your Karma, the world, the universe, change your heart.

4. What is the ceremonies´ aim?
The aim of the ceremonies is the same which Buddha clearly explains: The Main Goal of Existence is Happiness. Therefore, the aim of these ceremonies is to turn suffering into happiness; that is, to enhance the human being´s spiritual, psychological and physical nature. So, they are directed towards the people who want to elevate their human qualities, like greater honesty, courage, merit, hope, wisdom, happiness, along with all the other universal values existing within the human being. In short, these ceremonies help us in bettering our qualities instead of our mysticism.

5. Why are these ancestral healings still relevant today and for the future?
The ancestors have already found the formula on order to live in perfect harmony and happiness with heaven and earth. They have achieved healings that modern medicine can not achieve, that’s why a lot of our clients are doctors and scientists.

6. Who are the ceremonies suitable for; what type of person?
These ceremonies are not only directed to those who want to be happy, but also to whoever needs to be happy and make others happy.

7. What is happiness?
It is this feeling of joy, love, strength and life force in which the person is constantly advancing and growing, without importance to the favorable or non-favorable situations that are occurring around them.

8. Why do the ceremonies heal?
They take you to the best healer in the universe, who heals all sickness and sufferings of the universe, God.

9. What lights up inside of you with these ancestral healings and what effects they have?
It lights up what the Christian call The Holy Spirit.
The Buddhists call Dharma or Illumination.
It shows you the right path to tackle the adversities and sufferings of life.

10. Which instruments, plants or objects are involved in the ceremonies and why?
The main instrument involved is the heart. Because it is there that you will discover the best Shaman and Doctor of the Universe, within yourself, because without the heart´s conviction in the search for the Greater Light, there won´t be any effect in the ceremonies and this is why the heart is the main instrument.
The other instruments are: Offerings, medicinal plants, the reading of oracles, as well as the cleansing and flowering ceremonies.

11. In what way do we help the world and society with these healings?
To make a happier world as health is synonymous with happiness.
Mental health, spiritual, physical and to man it gives better vision and perspective in order to achieve his objectives and victory of a much larger scale and quality. Of which he didn´t have the conviction and objective before the healings.

12. What is a Shaman?
This name comes from Siberia and means Medicine Man.

13. What is the difference between a Shaman, a healer and a Witch?
The Shaman can only devote himself to either good or bad; the Witch uses both of these forces which make him terribly dangerous.
The healer heals with medicinal plants and other types of natural healings.
Those whom are closer to the illumination who we have 3 mentioned are not only the white shamans and the good healers, but also the black shaman because they have to deal face to face with God and that at some moment he will illuminate when he realizes that he is dealing with an inscrutable force.
Why not the Witch? Because as mentioned clearly in the Bibles be cold or hot, because If you are warm I will vomit you from my mouth.

14. What is the purpose or work of the white shaman for society?
Firstly, I want to remind you that shamans existed before organized religion and shamanism is the root of music, art and medicine. The principal job of the shaman is to bring humanity closer to God.

15. What does society need in our times?
Happiness and harmony.

16. How can we put order to the global ecological, economic and social disorder we are faced with at present?
One of the greatest teachings that have been passed down to us by the ancestral masters, is that you can overcome all the darkness of the universe, when you overcome yourself. You have your destiny in your hands and you can order yourself and help to order your surroundings

17. Why do we need God and Pachamama (mother earth) and why they are the base of shamanism?
I will answer this firstly with an Inca prayer: Humility is the road to eternal happiness. Thanks for this exact moment.
What could a small child do without his mother and father, who would guide and protect them? And who would protect Pachamama?
The shaman has a transcendental vision and he knows well that we need to be protected and guided by god and nature. At the same time we must learn to protect and serve the heavens and the earth.

18. Why is the offering to the Pachamama the most important of all the ceremonies and healings?
Thanks to the studies and knowledge of historians and anthropologists made a long time ago, of which I am in agreement as well. The state of nirvana or of natural trance is using the feelings of the heart, without drinking any kind of medicinal potion or hallucinogen.
That’s why in the time of our ancestors and up till the present different cultures are still making these practices. For example: the Eskimos, Asians, Africans North American natives, etc.
